We are an all-ages community of hospitality, a multi-racial church that travels light, a diverse people seeking to follow Jesus in the world. We are a Christian community in the United Church of Canada and have been gathering at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada since 1928.

We do not own a church building or property. We worship in the Chapel of the Epiphany at the Vancouver School of Theology and make use of offices at VST for our Ministry team.

We are rediscovering that Christian communal life has five distinguishing marks. We use the Greek words that are found in the New Testament of the Bible to remind ourselves of these five marks of our life together:

worshiping God

liturgia

training in the Way of Christ

didache

serving Christ in the world

diakonia

living in Christian community

koinonia

proclaiming the good news

kerygma

We are learning not to be afraid of suffering with those who hurt or of making space for hard questions about life, hope and faith. We are striving to be honest about our failures and shortcomings. We are hoping to live as gifted citizens of God's reign of shalom.
